I use the calendar because of low-vision and the ability to change background and text colors is really helpful.

Obviously if you're considering this item you're generally comfortable with the price tag, which is substantial. I am here to say that it is worth it. It's hard to ignore the construction quality that goes into this item.
I can't imagine they're making hundreds of dollars off of each of these -- it's an impressive item that has a lot of electronics involved into making it.
We are currently using the free version of the operating system and are pretty happy with it. Maybe at some point in the future we'll subscribe to pay $5 per month, but for now I don't think we need it.
One potential downside I can see for people is that depending on the wall space you're looking to place it on, it definitely sticks out from the wall more than I was picturing, but not in an egregious way -- and mostly because of all the electronics contained within. All of that is to say, when you're measuring your wall space to see whether it fits, also make sure you're envisioning the depth of the item as well.

I was very impressed because I was worried about an electronic item coming through the mail. Setting it up was super easy, although I am already familiar with the Dakboard and had an account, I appreciated the code to get a discount - and we were able to upgrade our subscription. I am very happy with my purchase. This is the DakBoard I have wanted for so long but wasn't sure where to find it. Now I have! It is going to be such a great help to schedule, which fluctuates on a week to week basis with daycare and two different work schedules, appointments etc... <3

Awesome piece the wood is high quality and screen is very vivid
The well-made wooden frame really helps to integrate the smart calendar into our living space, rather than looking like just another screen. We wanted to be able to set up the calendar on a tabletop, but preserve the option to hang it on the wall later, and Chris worked with us on a custom solution, which is even better than I had hoped. I would highly recommend YaegerWoodworks.

Gorgeous craftsmanship on the box, electronics all secured well to survive delivery. Only concern we had when installing was that we wanted a portrait set up and received a french cleat that was too large. We were able to cut it down to size. Now if I could only get my family to look at it instead of asking me the schedule for the day. :)
Arrived safely and intact. Very well packaged. Enclosed directions were easy to follow and it was up and running within 48 hours, which included getting a family of 5 all connected. Very easy to update calendars and edit to the various formats. Would definitely buy again. Thank you!
Buyer beware if shopping from Canada that this falls under the new tariffs and Fex-ex is billing me an additional $260 which is absolutely ridiculous
